| TAKIS IS VIRTUALLY ADOPTED BY NINS FROM SPAIN. TAKIS, A BOY'S BEST MATE Hi, my name is Nins and I am from Spain. During my 5 months living in Athens I have had the opportunity of being one of the volunteers at the Filozoikos Nea Filadelfia. Now, already back home in Spain, I would like to keep on helping my so beloved hairy friends, and particularly Takis, through my Virtual Adoption. As the leader of what we use to call "The Jumpers" gang, Takis is the actual owner of the highest jump record at the shelter. He is obviously a great athlete but also a very gentle dog and although the first five minutes after taking him out of his cage you probably will have to struggle to keep his "I am out, I am out" rhythm, he normally takes it easier after a while. And if he doesn't... let me tell you a little trick! If you feel tired and want to rest for a while during a walk with Takis everything you should do is simply start rubbing his belly and neck... Oh, yeahhhh! That's life!!! He will enjoy it so much he won't move a muscle until you stop rubbing. Takis has just a great personality. He is neither aggressive, or scared of other dogs and also shows some good guard dog skills showing a quite protective behaviour (cage) and cage mates.
