| October 4th Event: BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS ON THE FEAST OF ST. FRANCIS OF ASSISI Every year on the first Sunday in October on the anniversary of the birth of St. Francis of Assisi (the patron saint of animals and the environment), people from all over world gather for blessings with their animal friends. The Blessing of the Animals service was performed by Revd Canon Malcolm Bradshaw at the picturesque St. Paul's Church in the center of Athens. |
